Livestreamer

Livestreamer is a command-line utility that pipes video streams from various services into a video player, such as VLC. The main purpose of Livestreamer is to allow the user to avoid buggy and CPU heavy flash plugins but still be able to enjoy various streamed content. There is also an API available for developers who want access to the video stream data. The mysqlcheck client performs table maintenance: It checks, repairs, optimizes, or analyzes tables. Each table is locked and therefore unavailable to other sessions while it is being processed, although for check operations, the table is locked with a READ lock only (see Section 13.3.5, “LOCK TABLES and UNLOCK TABLES Syntax”, for more information about READ and WRITE locks).
